Sedation Dentistry is when your child receives a liquid sedative in the office to have his or her treatment completed. The child is drowsy and unaware of the treatment being performed. This is a safe and effective treatment choice for the nervous or fearful child or for very young toddlers. This is all done in accordance to the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry guidelines. (AAPD.org)
Hospital Dentistry is when your child has his or her dental treatment completed at Community Medical Center. The child is put under general anesthesia and all treatment is completed in one session while the child sleeps. This is a same day surgery procedure.
These treatment options are also for special needs children and work very well with Autistic children. Please ask Ocean Pediatric Dental Associates more about sedation & hospital dentistry.
